Welcome to Volunteer Centre Borders.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of our communities. Local health support groups, sporting activities and events, arts and crafts classes - just some of the things made possible because of volunteers.
By giving your time you're helping the organisation you volunteer for, you're helping the people, communities, animals or environments they represent and you are improving your own health and wellbeing.
Tell us your interests and what your area you might like to volunteer in and we will find the right opportunity for you.
These include activities such as befriending, helping at events, driving, fundraising, conservation activities or providing support to children and older people.
Volunteering also doesn't need to be done on your own – more and more people are looking for ways to volunteer as a family and many organisations see volunteering as a great way to build teams.
We can also provide tailored training, for example to help organisations recruit and retain volunteers and our Volunteer Friendly Award is a simply standard to recognise groups that are good at working with volunteers.
