Salary £19,000 per annum, pro rata
21 hours a week
Fixed term contract until 30th September 2018.

One of Volunteer Centre Borders' main aims is to continually highlight the impact volunteering has for and on individuals, organisations, local communities and the Scottish Borders as a whole. This needs to be achieved through different channels and as creatively as possible. VCB also has a responsibility to its statutory partners to report back on its work, both in quantitative and qualitative ways.

To help achieve these goals, VCB is looking to appoint a Communications Officer who would be responsible for presenting our work in a variety of different ways so as its impact can be easily accessible and understood. This person would ensure we are able to illustrate we are meeting our targets as well as recording and demonstrating activities which illustrate the wider impact of our work.

• To identify, suggest and develop different ways for the impact of volunteers and volunteering to be shared with different audiences
• To be responsible for developing Volunteer Centre Borders' presence on various media platforms
• To work with local and national stakeholders to explore ways of presenting volunteer data to ensure impact is demonstrated to the maximum degree
• To support the Executive Officer in ensuring end of year reporting back to Scottish Borders Council and the Scottish Government is done in a timely and efficient manner

• To identify ways VCB can improve its communications and support all staff to help its delivery
• To contribute to project development with particular emphasis on ensuring communication is a key component.
