FORMER Scottish international footballer Pat Nevin is suggesting people in the Scottish Borders 'show off their assets' as part of a new initiative to grow the number of volunteers in the area.
To mark the recent Volunteers' Week, Pat who lives in Duns, teamed up with Volunteer Centre Borders (VCB) to launch their new campaign - 'Show Off Your Assets'.

Inspire Awards - Inspirational young Borderers 'a credit to their communities'
The fourth annual Scottish Borders Inspire Awards were held in Galashiels in March. The event is run by the Inspire Awards Group in partnership with Saltire Awards which is supported and partly funded by Volunteer Centre Borders & Scottish Borders Council. The Awards recognise young Borderers aged 12-25 for their exceptional achievements and successes as individuals and groups.
